Public Defense Services - Joint Request
Description: The Cities seek proposals from qualified attorneys, law firms, nonprofit entities, and public agencies to provide primary public defense and conflict-counsel services to indigent criminal defendants charged by either city in Pierce County District Court. Proposers may seek either or both roles, and the services are expected to begin January 1, 2027, with contracts potentially awarded separately by each city. Proposals are due October 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. local time.
