Lagoon Media Replacement RFP
Removal, handling and disposal of drinking water treatment plant residuals material and replacement of sand underdrain media in lagoon #3, in strict accordance to the specification.
Description: The project consists of modifying the existing lagoon by incorporating bentonite into the soil below the water level. A berm will also be built in the middle of the existing lagoon and a concrete overflow structure will be constructed.

Work consists of the dredging, removal and proper disposal of sludge from the 48 million-gallon (MG) capacity sludge lagoon that receives flows from the Water Treatment Plant. The sludge lagoon is located approximately two miles away from the WTP and is situated adjacent to the Reservoir. The project includes on-call services for the removal and disposal of sludge from the Water Treatment Plant. The project includes the hauling and disposal of dewatered sludge cake from the Residuals Treatment Facility, which will be performed on a weekly basis.
