Seeking plumbing contractors to replace lead water service lines on private property.

City of Bismarck
Department requests written qualifications from licensed and bonded contractors with the City for the purpose of being placed on a pre-qualified list for homeowners to solicit bids for replacement of their property's lead or galvanized service line based on Federal Environmental Protection Agency and the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality Lead Service Line Replacement requirements. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. * To minimize surface disruption, environmental impacts, and costs associated with surface restoration, the project will require the use of trenchless construction methods (e.g., pipe pulling, pipe bursting, directional drilling) for the replacement of lead or galvanized service lines. The firm must demonstrate experience with trenchless technologies specific to water service lines in urban, suburban, and/or constrained environments.
City of Lima
The replacement of approximately 320 lead service lines.
Village of Lockland
The work generally consists of replacing approx. one hundred & thirty-six (136) lead water service lines located in the Village of Lockland, Ohio. Replacement of identified lead service lines and appurtenances on both public and/or private sides are included in the work. Replacement lines are ¾" and require new tap connections to existing water mains and abandoning the existing tap connection. New water service lines for select properties will be replaced from the existing water main to a location inside the building to replace all existing lead service lines present. Existing water meters will be reused or provided by the Village for Lockland for Contractor installation. Work will include all site restoration required.
