Vedanta Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project RFP
Project consists of forest health and wildfire risk reduction services - hand thinning: cutting of live trees up to 14 dbh and smaller, removal of dead standing trees up to 20", and piling of course woody debris up to 18"; pruning: removal of ladder fuels and brush beneath residual tree driplines; hand piling: construction of tall stable hand piles that can shed water to keep inner materials dry for future winter burning; resource protection: strict adherence to best management practices (bmps) for watercourses, sensitive riparian vegetation, and archaeological sites.
