Parking Lots and Ramps - Van Buren Street Parking Ramp - Replace Facility

Description: This project will replace the existing mercy plaza ramp with new 450 parking spaces facility. Project consists of the demolition of the existing approx. 430 stall parking ramp and associated elevator/stair tower. Project also includes construction of a new parking ramp of approx. 450 stalls in the same location that will serve Health Care patients, staff and visitors, with a main access and secondary vehicular access, both off street. This will be a five-story, cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete parking structure. The project includes a north elevator/stair tower, south stair tower and connection to the existing skywalk. There is also water, telecom and building envelope scope associated with the adjacent Iowa City Jefferson Street building. Within the parking structure, space will be provided for ramp support spaces including electrical, telecom, and custodial.
