Notice of Intent USACE MVK Crawler Crane (9502 Crane Barge Replacement) *SOLE SOURCE*

Description: Procurement of one (1) new commercial-grade crawler crane optimized for floating marine service. General Requirements The crane shall be equipped with the necessary sections to make up a 140-ft to 145-ft main boom length. The boom length shall be measured from the boom heel pin to the main block sheave pin. A removable boom tip extension with a length less than 7-ft shall be provided and attached to the boom tip for the auxiliary hoist. The crane shall be designed with the appropriate number of drums, sheaves, and wire configurations to perform all lifting operations without requiring re-spooling of any wire rope on the drums or reconfiguration of the counterweights. The manufacturer shall identify the number of hoists the crane is equipped with and which hoist is used during each operation. All crane lubricating points shall be easily accessible from crane walkways or platforms without need to remove guards or other components. See attached file.
