Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source - XJ2 Breaker Overhaul RFP

Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract for the XJ2 breaker overhaul at John Day Lock and Dam. The work includes full-service maintenance, emergency response, preventive maintenance, baseline inspection, operating-mechanism overhaul and adaptation, installation of a government-furnished mechanism, factory overhaul of the removed mechanism, technician training, and monthly maintenance for an ABB/Hitachi Energy HECI-5R generator circuit breaker. The notice states that Nexus Power Solution LLC is the authorized regional representative and invites interested organizations to submit capability statements demonstrating that competition would benefit the Government.
