The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, is conducting market research for a commercial services contract to inspect, repair, and recertify below-the-hook lifting devices used with the John Day Dam powerhouse bridge crane. The anticipated work includes off-site transport, non-destructive examination and weld repairs, load testing at 125% of rated capacity, repainting, new nameplates and safety labels, and return delivery.
