NIST Boulder Building 4 Generator and ATS Replacement RFP

Description: The removal and replacement of the existing standby emergency generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) serving Building 4. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove the existing generator and ATS, furnish and install a new standby emergency generator (with natural gas and diesel options) and compatible ATS, perform all associated electrical modifications, conduit and wiring installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation.

NIST Boulder Solar Lighting Upper Site Replacement
Replace aging solar-powered exterior pole luminaires with new hard-wired LED pole luminaires throughout selected areas of the campus. Work includes demolition and removal of existing solar lighting systems, design and installation of new pole bases and luminaires, photometric analysis, structural pole base design stamped by a licensed Colorado Professional Engineer, and installation of new electrical circuits originating from nearby building panelboards. Construction activities include trenching, backfilling, restoration of landscaped and hardscaped areas, equipment labeling, and coordination of electrical shutdowns.

Emergency Generator Replacement RFP
Work includes the removal and disposal of the existing generators, automatic transfer switches, and related electrical components; installation of new emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, conductors, grounding systems, and associated electrical infrastructure; modification and reconnection of existing electrical services as required; testing and commissioning of all equipment to verify proper operation; and restoration of any disturbed areas resulting from construction. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and coordination necessary to complete the work in accordance with the contract documents, applicable codes, and manufacturer requirements, ensuring uninterrupted emergency power service to the facilities.
