Description: The Defense Health Agency announced an active Special Notice for Newborn Screening Services at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, covering newborn blood-screening laboratory services. The requirement includes testing for congenital adrenal hyperplasia, galactosemia, congenital hypothyroidism, sickle cell disease, amino acid and acylcarnitine profiles, cystic fibrosis, and biotinidase deficiency.
