Hazardous Waste Collection for Obsolete Pesticides (Request for Proposals)
Provide hazardous waste collection, packaging, transportation, and disposal.
Description: The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks proposals for hazardous-waste management services to collect, transport, and dispose of or recycle pesticide mini-bulk containers. The work includes coordinating collection events at designated county sites, assessing containers at farm and dealer locations, handling and packaging them for transport, and removing approximately 750 containers annually. The contract is planned to begin October 1, 2026, or upon execution, for an initial one-year term with options for two additional one-year renewals.
