Midwest Lake Electrofishing Systems - Custom Electrofishing Raft To Support Fisheries-related Research Projects -*SOLE SOURCE* RFP

Description: Purchase of a custom electrofishing raft to support fisheries-related research projects. The primary use is to support FEC projects in sampling fish in rocky rivers of North and South Carolina. This raft will be customized to have hardwired electrical components and attachments necessary for electrofishing to immobilize and nonlethally sample fish for research objectives associated with fisheries management and conservation. The raft must be compatible with the existing fleet at FEC Fisheries where specialized electrofishing equipment needs to be compatible and interchangeable (without modification) with existing equipment (electrofishing control boxes, specialized electrofishing equipment) in FEC to maximize efficiency, maximize standardization for data-quality, and maximize safety by ensuring student trainees and staff are familiar with the electrofishing equipment. Existing FEC electrofishing equipment will be used on the Raft Electrofishing System interchangeably and for the reasons this is a SS request.
