The base bid Work includes widening the existing East Palm Canyon Drive Bridge (including architectural treatment and lighting), CV Sync conduit installation, constructing new curb, gutter, and sidewalk, constructing a driveway and curb ramps, constructing a bus pad, constructing retaining walls, a new soundwall at the mobile home park, utility coordination including SCE capacitor bank relocation, storm drain improvements, improvements to the Araby parking lot, rehabilitating the pedestrian bridge deck and railings adjacent to the bridge, striping, and pavement rehabilitation.
The add alternate Work includes additional cold plane and overlay limits, water valve adjustments, survey monument reestablishment, and striping and pavement markings to match the existing layout. These items are listed in Bid Schedule B, which may or may not be awarded.
No construction equipment shall be permitted in the Palm Canyon Wash during the Casey’s June Beetle (CJB) flight season from March 1 through June 30, and all Work shall be restricted to daylight hours.
