AvailableThe University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking to pre-qualify contractors for the Campus Steam & Condensate Infrastructure Improvements project, which includes demolition and replacement of the underground steam and condensate distribution loop between Shaw Building and Jackson Library and repair/replacement of disturbed landscaping and hardscaping. The work requires furnishing labor, materials, and equipment and is being managed by Balfour Beatty with RMF as the design firm; submissions are to be sent electronically to Lee Littleton at llittleton@balfourbeattyus.com. This is a Request for Qualifications (pre-qualification) with an anticipated bid date/closing activity on March 26, 2026 and an estimated budget range of approximately $500,000$2,000,000.

Replace existing radiators, install new steam and condensate risers and connect them to existing steam lines, steam traps, and new radiators. s. Work includes all labor, management, equipment, materials, general construction, alterations, necessary removal and replacement of radiators, install new steam and condensate risers, connect condensate risers to existing steam lines, steam traps and new radiators. The work also includes cap and seal old steam and condensate risers, install new insulation on the steam and condensate risers and connect lines to existing steam traps and radiators, all electrical work, controls integration, and ducting, landscaping and floor repairs as necessary to do the work at various locations in Building Perform all work within a confined space not readily accessible to maintenance staff.
