Description: The City of Manassas hereby invites bids from qualified contractors properly licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide construction services to includes, among other items of work, the following: (i) installation of new eight-inch (8”) and 12-inch water main and associated connections to existing water mains; (ii) installation of water main related appurtenances (valves, hydrants); (iii) installation of new water service lines and relocation of existing water meters; (iv) installation of new eight-inch (8”) sanitary sewer main and manholes; (v) installation of new sanitary sewer laterals and cleanouts; (vi) installation of curb and gutter, storm drain inlets, and 15-inch to 36-inch (or equivalent) storm drain pipe; (vii) installation of concrete sidewalk with handicap ramps, and relocation of mailboxes; (viii) modification of driveways and private sidewalks; (ix) restoration (asphalt pavement, milling, seeding, and fertilizing); and (x) performance of other miscellaneous construction activities (e.g., erosion and sediment control including inlet and outfall protection, maintenance of traffic) related to water mains, sewer mains, storm drains, curb and gutter, and sidewalks.

Associated work includes site demolition (paving, storm drainage, misc. features); new full-depth pavement; pavement milling & overlay; drainage & grading; maintenance of traffic; bollards, fencing and lighting; and other miscellaneous appurtenances. The Additive Alternate 1 scope of work for this project will be referred to as “Canopy Roof Drainage System” and includes approx. 750 LF of new underground storm drainage piping to convey rooftop drainage below grade.
