2026 Mineral and Screenings invitation to bid
The City of Ellsworth seeks bids to produce 10,000 cubic yards of usable winter sand for the 2026–2027 season by excavating and mechanically screening material at the City Gravel Pit. The contractor will provide screening equipment and labor, while the City will provide a loader and trucks to move the sand and mix it with salt. Bidders must also quote a separate unit price for on-call screening from January through April 2027, with work beginning within 48 hours of notice.
