Seattle-Tacoma International Airport South Concourse Evolution (SCE), Bid Package 2
The project will renovate the facility to meet current building code requirements and create an inviting destination for today’s traveling public with additional lounge spaces, greater selection of dining and retail, and better spatial design. The project will upgrade existing foundations and structures, and will repurpose existing space to enhance passenger experience. Structural system upgrades include the addition of lateral and seismic support for the existing building. In addition, the project will re-develop the vacant below-grade Federal Inspection Services (FIS) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) spaces into Duty-Free shopping and Airport Dining and Retail (ADR) concessions. The above grade work includes expansion and renovation of the Concourse level for more efficient public circulation. The existing Penthouse level will be demolished and replaced with a new Upper Concourse Level to provide additional hold room areas, and club and premium lounge spaces. New mechanical Penthouses will be constructed above the new Upper Concourse Level. Bid Package 2 includes: Subsystem 2.01 - Demolition and abatement, Subsystem 2.03 - Building concrete retrofit, Subsystem 2.04 - Structural steel, metal stairs and railings, Subsystem 2.05 - Fire suppression, Subsystem 2.06 - Site paving, Subsystem 2.07 - Runway and taxi marking, Subsystem 2.08 - Site demolition and earthwork, Subsystem 2.09 - Deep foundations, Subsystem 2.10 - Site utilities, Subsystem 2.11 - Aviation fueling systems, Subsystem 2.12 - Baggage handling systems.
