Request for Proposals: 2026 Affordable Rental Housing Project Utilizing Workforce Housing Trust Funds (RFP-2026-789-HHH-RG)
The City of Albuquerque Department of Health, Housing & Homelessness (HHH) is soliciting proposals from nonprofit developers to create affordable rental housing within Albuquerque city limits using Workforce Housing Trust Fund and related local funds. HHH intends to allocate between $9,250,000 and $12,500,000 across two to three projects, requires at least 30% of units to be affordable to households at or below 80% AMI, and expects projects to leverage other financing sources (e.g., LIHTC, HUD programs, bank loans). Proposals must be submitted electronically via the City’s eProcurement/Bonfire portal and are due by 4:00 pm local time on September 4, 2026; the full RFP and appendices will be available on or before July 6, 2026.
