Hospital Emergency Force Main Repair (Request for Proposals)

Description: Hospital emergency force main repair. Repairs to lift station. Demolish and remove the existing force main piping inside the wet well and clean the wet well as needed to complete the repairs. Remove two (2) existing pump check valves and furnish and install two (2) new check valves compatible with the existing system. Remove two (2) existing plug valves and furnish and install two (2) new plug valves compatible with the existing system. Remove two (2) existing vacuum pumps and furnish and install two (2) new vacuum pumps compatible with the existing system. Remove two (2) existing pump impellers and furnish and install two (2) new pump impellers compatible with the existing pumps and operating conditions. Remove existing steel support brackets and hardware and replace with new stainless-steel support brackets and stainless-steel hardware. Furnish and install a new 4-inch priming lock loop using Schedule 80 PVC piping and fittings on the force main. Furnish and install a new permanent bypass connection on the force main for future bypass pumping operations. Provide temporary bypass pumping from the existing manholes using appropriate pumping equipment while repair work is completed. Upon completion, return the two pumps to service and verify proper operation of the pumps, valves, priming system, and associated components.
