Willowbrook Water System Wellhead Protection Plan RFP
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is seeking proposals from qualified Proponents to prepare a comprehensive Wellhead Protection Plan (WHPP) for the Willowbrook Water System. The objective of this project is to assess and manage risks to the groundwater source that supplies the Willowbrook Water System. The successful proponent will identify potential threats to groundwater quality, delineate scientifically defensible Wellhead Protection Areas (WHPAs), evaluate source water vulnerabilities, and develop practical strategies to protect the community's drinking water supply over the long term. The WHPP will provide a science-based framework for groundwater source protection and will include, at a minimum, hydrogeological assessment, wellhead protection area delineation, contaminant source inventory, risk assessment, interested parties and public engagement, mitigation measures, and an implementation strategy. The completed plan will support the long-term sustainability, safety, and reliability of the Willowbrook Water System.
