Summary
The project consultant will complete a phase i identification survey within the historic district following a review and evaluation of existing survey data. The project shall consist of: a survey plan that includes how the consultant proposes to complete the survey (methodology), what information they'll collect, the dates they expect to be doing their field survey, and other important information. Initial meeting and site visit with borough staff. Consultation with pa shpo on survey methodology, use of surveyor, and general expectations. Research of existing data and previous surveys. Survey fieldwork, mapping, and data clean-up. Submission of completed data for the updated survey of historic resources, using the most current version of the pa-share data submission methods, to include batch uploading to and final submission through surveyor. Complete fieldwork to document physical characteristics and take photographs. Pa shpo has established a minimum record for what information needs to be captured during field survey. At least one photograph of the main (primary) elevation is needed. Identification and integration of previous and new survey data of the resource as applicable into the new resource record. Submit complete, accurate, and updated identification level data and mapping to the pa-shpo and the borough. A final report to include a project narrative summary report of the work completed, an assessment of the successes and challenges of the project, findings, and recommendations for future work related to the survey project. A physical paper copy of survey data and GIS digital shapefiles or geodatabase version of the historic district survey.
