HANDHELD THREAT DETECTOR
The Army is seeking two new handheld threat detectors to identify chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals, explosives, precursors, narcotics, and taggants, along with one year’s supply of consumables. The devices must meet ruggedness and environmental standards, operate from −4°F to 131°F, provide hot-swappable batteries for up to six hours, have a daylight-readable touchscreen, and maintain a false-alarm rate below 5%; virtual user training and 24/7 technical support are also required. This is a total small-business set-aside, with delivery preferred within 30 days of order and shipment to USAG-Kwajalein Atoll.
