General Transit Feed Specifications (GTFS) Pathways Development and Technical Support (Request for Proposals)

Description: Seeking to procure the services of an eligible contractor to develop GTFS Pathways files for the region, which encompasses both Chicago rail stations operated by CTA and regional rail stations operated by Metra as well as develop an implementation plan based on available data to understand data collection requirements, coding stations, limited user testing, and assisting with final integration of GTFS Pathways files into GTFS bundles and other database and/or GIS systems. Plan development will be collaborative with NITA and Service Board staff and culminate in the integration of GTFS Pathways text files for 130 CTA stations and 11 identified regional hubs with Metra service into CTA’s and Metra’s GTFS bundles. The eligible contractor will develop a guide for collecting data for GTFS Pathways at additional stations, as well as developing a plan for maintaining GTFS Pathways data to reflect construction and longer-term planned closures or outages to support the development of the GTFS Pathways extension for all CTA rail stations and select Metra rail stations.
