It outlines the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority's (RTA) new mission and vision, aiming to become the preferred mobility provider in the region. The plan is structured around six core goals: Earn Trust, Be Reliable, Be Equitable, Connect to Opportunities, Prioritize the Rider Experience, and Support a Sustainable, Healthy Region. The proposed budget includes investments in infrastructure, such as shelters, the Downtown Transit Center, and the Algiers Point Ferry Terminal. The budget increase in operation cost is due to the implementation of the Network Redesign, fleet age, and maintenance costs. The Capital Budget includes investments in transit infrastructure, fleet replacement and design of Bus Rapid Transit. The budget also reflects sales tax revenue predictions and relies less on Covid 19 relief funding.
