Township Auditor will audit the financial statements of the Township for the year ended December 31, 2026. The document that is submitted to the Township will include additional information in the Supplementary Schedules and Data and in the Schedules of Expenditures of Federal and State Awards that will be subjected to the auditing procedures applied in the auditor's audit of the financial statements. In addition, the auditor will assist the Township in prepared the following information that will not be subjected to the auditing procedures applied in the auditor's audit of the financial statements: Assistance in the preparation of the 2027 Local Municipal Budget from information provided to the auditor by the officials of the Township; b. Preparation of the 2027 annual (unaudited) Financial Statement utilizing the post-closing trial balances and analyses prepared by the Chief Financial Officer of the Township; and c. Preparation of the Annual Debt Statement.

he Township Auditor shall be a multi-disciplined firm with at least eight (8) years experience in municipal auditing procedures, bond law, arbitrage, municipal budgeting and purchasing. The individual assigned shall have at least five (5) years experience as an appointed municipal auditor and shall be a CPA and RMA.

Providing Municipal Auditor Services. The Municipal Auditor shall be a public accountant of the State of New Jersey and have the designation of Registered Municipal Accountant (RMA). The Auditor shall audit the books, accounts and financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. The Auditor shall assist with the preparation of the municipal budget, and shall be available to attend meetings, including committee meetings, staff meetings and public hearings, if requested. The Auditor shall assist with preparation of the Annual Financial Statement and Annual Debt Statement.
