Colorado DNR — Division of Parks & Wildlife (CPW) issued a Request for Qualifications to procure engineering design services to decommission and remove the high‑hazard Flagler Dam and restore habitat in the Flagler State Wildlife Area. The scope includes desktop review, feasibility alternatives, progressive design packages (30%, 60%, 100%), wetlands/biologic/cultural surveys and permitting, and possible future construction administration. The project is funded via FEMA’s Rehabilitation of High Hazard Potential Dams Grant Program, is planned to begin March 2026 and complete by August 31, 2027; the RFQ is open for proposals.
