Introduction The City of Jackson, Missouri (the "City") is seeking proposals from qualified municipal underwriters to assist with the financing of capital improvements, including the construction of a new water tower and the acquisition of a fire truck. The City anticipates issuing financing in an amount expected to range between $3 million and $6 million. The City is considering a variety of financing structures, and therefore, no specific financing type is required for this proposal. Background of the City The City is a full-service municipality located in Southeast Missouri and serves as the county seat of Cape Girardeau County. The City has a steadily growing population, a strong community identity, and a diversified local economy supported by manufacturing, retail, education, and public services. The City provides essential services including electric, water, wastewater, sanitation, recycling, public safety, streets, and parks. The City maintains a strong commitment to public infrastructure investment and long-term financial stability. Proposal Submittal The City reserves the right to select any underwriter, multiple underwriters, or reject all submissions. Joint proposals will not be accepted. Proposals may be submitted to the City at the address listed below or electronically to clerk@cityofjacksonmo.gov until the submission deadline set by the City.
