Description: To procure 5 denier carbon and kynol fibers and perform trades on fiber diameter and carbon-to-phenolic composition on their commercial production line. The vendor is also requested to perform several cross lapper variations on the commercial line to establish the settings that yield batting with the highest through the thickness strength and batting yield (i.e. 4 webs vs 2 to produce a batt in quasi-iso format, associated angles, etc.).
