FAA’s Career and Leadership Developmental portfolio currently consist of four components in accordance with the attached draft statement of work: Mandatory Management Courses: Required per FAA Human Resources policy; Succession Planning Programs: Competitive leadership development programs targeting specific positions or levels; Elective Management and Leadership Courses: Offered based on developmental needs and learner interest; Customer-Tailored Offerings: Custom courses and services delivered upon request to internal and external stakeholders. The core curriculum consists of the developmental courses which are mandatory for FAA managers by current FAA policy or regulation. Core requirements are prescribed by the FAA Office of Human Resources (AHR), Talent Development (AHD) and are prescribed in an annual requirements document. The annual requirements document is adjusted to meet organizational needs from year-to-year. Presently the curriculum consists of a total of 69 web-based and instructor-led courses designed to address FAA’s evolving management and leadership development priorities. Each year, FAA determines the mix and schedule of mandatory/elective courses and program cohorts based on organizational priorities. These requirements may change annually to meet emerging agency needs.
