Acquisition of Lightning Protection for Aircraft Training for Aircraft Certification and Flight Standards Airworthiness Inspectors / Aerospace Engineers employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The required training services include Lightning Protection for Aircraft Training for Aircraft Certification and Flight Standards Airworthiness Inspectors / Aerospace Engineers employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The contractor is to provide Lightning Protection initial training to FAA Airworthiness Inspectors / Aerospace Engineers. The contractor may provide this training through their standard courses offered to the public, other Government agencies or by submitting courses solely intended for FAA inspectors. The FAA estimates this course is to provide approximately 36 hours of instruction and class size should not exceed a maximum of 12 students. FAA formal training consists of training courses with agency level course numbers that will be officially recorded in the employee’s personnel records.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a Sources Sought market survey to identify vendors capable of providing commercial off-the-shelf Sikorsky S-64 (SK-64) initial and recurrent pilot training for FAA Flight Standards Operations Inspectors and aircraft certification personnel. The notice requests capability statements, geographic coverage, and relevant past performance in accordance with an attached Performance Work Statement. Responses must be emailed to the contracting specialist by 5:00 p.m. CT on May 1, 2026.
