Sarasota County is seeking bids to dredge approximately 77,160 cubic yards along about 33,500 linear feet of Phillippi Creek, between U.S. 41 and South Beneva Road. The work is intended to restore the permitted design elevation of -4 feet MLW and includes preparing dredge-material areas, material handling and disposal, turbidity monitoring, and site restoration. Bids must remain valid for 180 days after opening or until the County issues a notice to proceed, whichever comes first.

The work consists of satisfactory removal of all material above elevation -17.0-ft MLG from C/L Station (-)16+00 (Mile 6.5) to C/L Station 250+00 (Mile 1.3), of Mermentau River from the limits as specified and successfully deposited on the Gulf Shoreline west of the Mermentau jetties, as shown on the plans.
