Dental Vacuum Compressor - Emergency *SOLE SOURCE*
Replacement of the Dental Vacuum Compressor due to the failure of the pumps. Repair parts are not available due to the life of the equipment. This is an emergency requirement. This system is mandatory for the service and is designed to filter mercury-containing filling particles from wastewater. The Amalgam Separator is a system with multiple vacuums. The dental service is currently working off only one vacuum. If too many suction tubes are open in the dental clinic there is no way to increase suction. As demand increases another vacuum will come on to increase suction. Also, if anything happens to the working pump or the controller the whole dental clinic will be completely shut down which will disrupt patient care. There are no longer repair parts available for this system. Most systems have a 10-year lifespan. This system is around 450 pounds and is bolted to the building, hard wired and part of the plumbing system. This system is critical for dental service and patient care.
