Summary
The City of Hollywood, Florida, is requesting bids from qualified and experienced contractors to construct a new Emergency Bypass Bar Screen System at the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (SRWWTP). This project aims to create a fully functional bypass capable of handling up to 140 million gallons per day (MGD) during severe storm events or when the existing screening building must be taken offline for critical maintenance. The improvements will include installation of a new coarse bar screen structure, a 72-inch FRP/GRP bypass pipeline, a new junction box, extensive utility relocations, site restoration, and related electrical and control upgrades.
