ELM ST ROADWAY AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS

Requests proposals from qualified professional engineering consultants for the purpose of Construction Engineering Services (“Services”) for the Village’s 2026 Utility and Roadway Improvements Project. Work consists of onsists of roadway reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, various removals; storm sewer and drainage structures; water distribution system improvements; sanitary sewer collection and conveyance system repairs; hot mix asphalt and concrete driveways; hot mix asphalt pavement; sodding; and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the improvements.

The work for which proposals are invited consists of tree protection, various removals, pavement patching, storm sewer and drainage structures; structure adjustments, sanitary sewer point repairs, watermain, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, hot mix asphalt and concrete driveways; hot mix asphalt pavement; aggregate shoulders, sodding; pavement marking and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the improvements.

The City of Allegan is soliciting construction bids to reconstruct streets and replace utilities (water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer) within its downtown on Trowbridge, Walnut, and Chestnut Streets, with an alternate for Grand Street watermain. Work includes roadway reconstruction, curb and gutter, sidewalk, streetscape features, and associated appurtenances. Bids are administered via the City’s engineer (Abonmarche) bid room, with bid opening scheduled for January 26, 2026.

Approx. 2,850 LF of roadway reconstruction including water utility replacement. Water utility replacement includes proposed 8" ductile iron main with all associated fittings, appurtenances, and services. Roadway reconstruction includes spot concrete curb and gutter replacement, dense graded base aggregate, and 4" asphaltic pavement. Approx. 2,275 LF of partial roadway reconstruction with storm sewer crossing replacements. Storm sewer crossing replacements include proposed RCP storm sewer and all associated structures and connections. Partial roadway reconstruction includes spot concrete curb and gutter replacement, spot base repairs, grading, and 4" asphaltic pavement. All other associated removals, erosion control, traffic control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, grading, and pavement markings.
