Description: SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE: EDGEMONT SCHOOL DISTRICT DISTRICT-WIDE SECURITY AND AIR-CONDITIONING UPGRADES Will Be Received By: EDGEMONT UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT Facilities Department Office 300 White Oak Lane Scarsdale, New York, 10583 Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by the Architect with all blanks appropriately filled in and along with the required documentation. Proposals must be received on or before 11:00 AM, local time, on December 8th, 2026, and must be in accordance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents to receive consideration. Bidding Documents, including drawings and specifications, will be available beginning on November 4th, 2026. Bidding Documents will be available at designated plan room vendors. The bids will be opened and read aloud immediately following the bid receipt at the EDGEMONT UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT, Facilities Department Office, 300 White Oak Lane, Scarsdale, New York, 10583. Bidders wishing to drop off their bid proposals may do so at the EDGEMONT UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT, Facilities Department Office, 300 White Oak Lane, Scarsdale, New York, 10583. If bid proposals are shipped and/or mailed, bidders are strongly advised to ship or mail bid proposals via USPS, UPS, FedEx or any other authorized carrier able to track bidders' bid proposal package. Bids must be submitted to the Owner at the location and the address above before the hour and date of the bid opening. Bidders shall be responsible for timely delivery of their bid proposals in advance of the bid opening date. All bids received after the time stated in the Notice to Bidders will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder unopened. All bidders assume the risk of any delay in the mail, delivery or handling of the mail by employees of the Owner. Regardless of whether the bid proposal is sent by mail or by means of personal delivery, bidders assume responsibility for having bid proposals deposited on time at the place specified. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or portions thereof, or alternates, or alternatives, to waive any informality; and to accept such bids, or portions thereof, which, in the Board of Education's judgment, is in the best interest of the school district All bid prices shall be filled in, both in words and figures. Signatures shall be in ink and in longhand. Bidders shall be required to furnish at their own expense, a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount together with the bid. Proof of the ability to furnish a labor and material payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid shall be submitted with the bid. Proposals which are incomplete, conditional, or obscure may be rejected as nonresponsive to the bid specifications. Additional copies of the proposal will be furnished by the Architect upon request. No oral or telephonic or email proposals or modifications of proposals will be considered. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on November 16th, 2026, at 3:30PM to review the Seely Place Elementary School and Greenville Elementary School projects. Bidders are requested to meet at the front entrance of the Greenville Elementary School located at 100 Glendale Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A second non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on November 17th, 2026, at 3:30PM to review the Jr./Sr. High School project. Bidders are requested to meet at the front entrance of the Edgemont Jr./Sr. High School Administration Building located at 200 White Oak Lane, Scarsdale, NY 10583 All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conferences.
