Description: The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the labor, equipment, mobilization, materials, aggregate, permits, Gopher One Call, fees, off-site disposal, tools, transportation, incidentals, and all else necessary to construct four (4) total parking lots distributed among three (3) total Wildlife Management Areas within the Marshall and Slayton DNR wildlife work areas of Murray and Nobles Counties. Work includes leveling, grading, compacting, filling, geotextile fabric, spreading and compacting Class 5, constructing wood post perimeters and sign boards, and installing gates at each parking lot; subcontracting is not allowed. Herbicide and incidentals necessary to cut, stump treat with herbicide, pile and burn or remove from site all designated woody material within a 124-AC as well as follow-up foliar herbicide treat resprouts/new growth of buckthorn and honeysuckle in a 10-AC sub-section of the original treatment area all. Phase 2 consists of follow-up foliar herbicide treatment to address resprouts and new growth of buckthorn and honeysuckle within a 10-acre subset of the original treatment area. The term of this contract is anticipated to be from September 1, 2026 to June 19, 2027.

Monitor beaver activity on 75 miles of 11 State Forest Roads in White Earth Forest, containing approx. 170 culverts, maintain water flow through all culverts, and remove beavers and debris causing the culvert to be dammed. The three work periods are Sept 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026; April 1, 2027 through May 31, 2027; and September 1, 2027 through October 31, 2027.
