Introduction The City of Little Canada is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide design services for a wayfinding and signage program for Little Canada. The selected consultant (hereinafter referred to as the Consultant) will work with city staff, elected officials, and community members to develop a well-designed, customer-centered plan for its wayfinding and signage. The city's goal is to implement cohesive wayfinding and signage throughout the city in order to support the city's business district, welcome and guide visitors to city parks and other amenities, and improve awareness of the city's "two sides," as the city is divided by Highway 35E. Purpose The city is requesting proposals for design services for a wayfinding and signage program. The wayfinding and signage program project plan will: * Visually delineate and welcome visitors to the business district. * Direct visitors to key city destinations, including area parks, civic facilities, businesses, and destinations on both sides of Interstate 35E, with particular attention to improving awareness of connections between the two sides of the city. * Create a consistent signage and wayfinding system across a range of signage mediums. Develop a sign array that includes a variety of signage types. * Create a signage system that directs guests, residents, community members, and workforce members to area attractions, business district, parking options, and local transit offerings. * Ensure signage allows for easy deciphering of attractions, destinations, and directions while maintaining a design standard reflective of the city's identity. * Provide recommendations on signage locations throughout the city, the type of sign, and corresponding prioritization of signs with financial impacts. Project Schedule The following schedule is provided for planning purposes and is subject to change at the city's discretion: * RFP Issued: October 30, 2026 * Questions Deadline: November 16, 2026 (4:30 PM) * Proposals Due: November 30, 2026 (12:00 PM) * Evaluation \& Interviews (if conducted): December 2026 * City Council Authorization: December 16, 2026 * Kickoff Meeting: January 2027
