Construction of New Sidewalk with Pedestrian Facilities on Poindexter Street I-464 Overpass RFP

Description: The City of Chesapeake is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a new five-foot-wide sidewalk with pedestrian facilities along the south side of Poindexter Street at the I-464 overpass. The project also includes new pedestrian railing on the bridge and new streetlights along the project limits, connecting existing sidewalks near the South Norfolk Jordan Bridge and Bainbridge Boulevard. This is a public-works Invitation for Bids, not a grant program, and bids are due September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
