The Incorporated Village of Amityville, New York has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking artists and artist teams to submit ideas for one or more public murals to be installed within the Village's downtown business district as part of its downtown revitalization initiative. Artists are responsible for providing all materials and equipment needed to complete their mural, preparing the wall as necessary, applying a protective finish, and leaving the site in clean condition upon completion. This RFP is tied to the Village's Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) program, a NYS-funded grant effort to enhance the downtown area.
