Scope of work: Demolition: The project requires the demolition of existing doors, frame assemblies complete, and designated portions of existing drywall partitions. Framing & Walls: New framing construction involves the use of 2 1/2" metal studs and the installation of 5/8" fire-rated gypsum board on both sides. Insulation: Fiberglass insulation must be installed within the stud cavities to provide sound attenuation. Doors & Glazing: The installation requires a 3-hour fire-rated glazing assembly and a 1 3/4" solid core wood door featuring W-rated tempered glazing to match existing facility doors. Door Hardware: The designated door requires a latch handle equipped with an interchangeable cylinder core lock. Flooring: The office space requires laminated vinyl tile flooring with 1/4" padding, specifically manufactured by Patcraft in the style "Natural State 20", color "00150 Driftwood", and laid out in a staggered V1 variation pattern. Finishes: All existing and newly installed gypsum board surfaces within the work area must be painted to match the adjacent surfaces. Baseboards: Vinyl baseboards must be installed to match the existing adjacent baseboards. Signage: The contractor must mechanically attach 2" high, 1/2" thick silver-tone stainless steel signage in Helvetica font that reads "OFFICE OF EVENT PLANNING". Ceiling Utilities: Existing ceiling utilities, including sprinkler heads, light fixtures, and smoke detectors, are to remain in place and must be thoroughly protected throughout the construction process.
