This will include work tasks as required and described below on wet utility pipeline construction projects including the rehabilitation and replacement of water, reclaimed water, wastewater, and stormwater distribution systems located within public right of way and easements. It may also include ancillary work within other city owned properties. A. The following work activities are general in nature and may be included in individual projects. The successful contractor(s) shall have experience, knowledge, and the ability to accomplish the following tasks related to the rehabilitation and replacement activities of wet utilities. Water, reclaimed water, wastewater, and stormwater pipelines, including all sizes. Water valves, fire hydrants and fittings. Water services and meters. Valve assemblies and vaults, including pvr’s. Hydrostatic testing and disinfecting. Wastewater manholes and cleanouts. Wastewater service pipe and connections. Stormwater inlets and catch basins. Trench excavation, backfilling, and compaction. Placing asphalt and concrete pavements to restore areas damaged by construction. Placing concrete curb and gutter, driveways, sidewalks to restore areas damaged by construction. Installation of landscaping to restore areas damaged by construction. Utility relocation of underground utilities and obstructions. Traffic control. Obtaining all required permits to complete the project. Public involvement, including public notices, attending public meetings, and maintaining construction hotlines.
