This project will restore salmon habitat along 1 mile of the Big Quilcene River in the vicinity of Quilcene, WA. Selected contractor will perform large scale stream restoration activities including actions to provide machine access to worksites, temporary stream bypasses to allow work to take place in the dry, excavation, removal and grading of channel banks and floodplains, installation of large wood, sorting and placement of streambed mix in the restored channel and floodplain footprint, spoils placement and grading, and other tasks required for the installation of the project as specified.
