Trans Mains 1 & 2 Valve Replacement - Phase 4
The work under this Contract is to replace existing isolation valves and install new tees for pipe access on the District's 30" and 36" ductile iron (DI) and Concrete Cylinder Pipe (CCP) potable water transmission mains at seven (7) separate site locations and includes: Installation of five (5) 30" District supplied butterfly valves and one (1) 36" District supplied butterfly valve with appurtenances, Removal of one (1) 2" ARV and replacement with a manual blow-off with vault structure at one site location, and reconnection of three (3) 4" combination ARV assemblies, at two site locations, Installation of one (1) 30" by 30-inch tee, four (4) 30" by 24" tees, one (1) 36- inch by 24" tee, one (1) 30" by 6" tee, one (1) cast-in-place concrete vault, and one (1) precast concrete access vault with appurtenances for pipe access, Removal, haul, and disposal of existing reinforced concrete slabs, steel sheets, vault top section, and replacement with new reinforced concrete slabs and steel sheets at one site, Installation of approx. 50 LF of 4" diameter DI water main including fittings, and appurtenances at two site locations, Installation of approx. 120 LF of 12" diameter PVC storm drain and six (6) catch basins at two site locations, Removal, haul, and disposal of existing transmission main piping, transmission main valves, water main piping, valves, and appurtenances, Roadway and property restoration, site cleanup, and temporary traffic control. Restoration associated with the project includes, but is not limited to, temporary and permanent trench patching, grind and overlay, pavement markings, reconstruction of localized curb, gutter, sidewalk, and driveway approach, replacement of damaged traffic loops, and landscaping for areas disturbed during construction.
