Summary
Seeking proposals from highly experienced and professional contractors to perform corrosion and odor control in the city’s sanitary collection system. Corrosion and odor control are of upmost concern for the city’s operations and compliance with their intergovernmental discharge agreement with metro water services (mws); and therefore, this project is focused on addressing those issues. This will be accomplished by the application of chemical feed within the system at multiple locations, as defined and recommended by the contractor. The successful proposer will be required to supply, control, monitor, optimize and report results to confirm success of odor and corrosion control. The generation of hydrogen sulfide; as well as other odor causing constituents, within the sanitary collection system contributes to the degradation of the integrity of the sewer system and associated equipment and are commonly responsible for nuisance odors that the general public can find objectionable. Chemical addition/treatment is applied to reduce/eliminate the concentration of dissolved sulfide/hydrogen sulfide and its deleterious effects. The scope of work for this project will include, but not limited to, all listed project tasks herein. Experience and successful project completion and timetable for like/similar projects will be evaluated. All work shall be done in accordance with the project tasks as discussed. The contractor shall provide competent, suitable qualified personnel to perform the work as required by the contract documents. The contractor shall maintain, at all times, good discipline and order at the site. The contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor, transportation, construction equipment and machinery (as required), tools, appliances, and all other facilities and incidentals necessary for the execution, testing, installation, initial operation/testing and continued performance of the dosing equipment and accessories for the duration of the contract. The city shall be responsible for providing electricity at all feed site(s). All materials shall be new, except as otherwise provided in the contract documents. If required by the city, the contractor shall furnish satisfactory evidence as to the kind and quality of materials.
