Atkins Water Treatment Plant Roof Replacement (Invitation For Bid)

Description: Work includes roof replacement. The roof will be completely removed in a "tear-off" application. The "tear-off" application includes complete removal of all roofing components (asphalt shingles, underlayment, edge metal and wood trim down to the roof decking level (plywood), followed by the installation of new single-ply roofing system (adhered 90-mil EPDM) according to 225 CMR 23.00 Massachusetts commercial stretch energy code, which is based on the 2021 international energy conservation code (IECC), roof replacement "tear-off" projects need to comply with the energy performance requirements for new construction. Therefore, insulation is required to be installed continuously above the roof deck with a maximum roof assembly U-factor of U-0.032, which is a minimum r-value of approx. R-31.25. See attached file.
