Description: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, testing, disposal, documentation, and incidental services necessary to perform selective asbestos abatement and preservation-sensitive restoration work associated with two historic fireplaces. Documentation: Prior to disturbance of any historic material, the Contractor shall: Photograph all fireplace assemblies, surrounds, hearths, mortar joints, and adjacent finishes; Document existing conditions, dimensions, alignment, and component locations; Label and catalog all removable historic materials to ensure accurate reinstallation; Protect and archive documentation as part of the project record.
