Open RFPApplication Controls Audit for Vector Scheduling System
Description: The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek proposals from qualified firms to conduct an application controls audit of the City’s Vector Scheduling System used by the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Department (TFMRD). Vector Scheduling (Vector) is a workforce scheduling application designed for fire departments, emergency medical services, and other public safety agencies. The application automates complex staffing and scheduling processes, including shift assignments, minimum staffing requirements, overtime allocation, employee callbacks, leave requests, and shift trades. It applies agency-specific staffing rules, labor agreements, employee qualifications, and scheduling restrictions to help ensure appropriate staffing levels. Vector also provides reporting and data management capabilities to support staffing oversight, overtime monitoring, and payroll processing, and to help management analyze staffing needs and overtime trends. TFMRD implemented Vector in November 2024 and has since managed the scheduling for over 1.2 million hours valued at an estimated $50,000,000.
