The Litter Abatement Program consist of the installation, maintenance, monthly measuring and removal of debris and removal of curb inlet filters.
Description: The City of Richardson is seeking bids for litter-abatement services that include installing and maintaining curb inlet filters, measuring and removing debris monthly, and removing filters. The work includes installing 193 filters initially and three additional filters per year, along with monthly inspection and maintenance over approximately 17,700 linear feet annually. The contract is for 12 months from award, with options for four additional one-year periods; bidders must provide bid security and the required performance, payment, and maintenance bonds.

Work generally consists of construction of mostly 1.5" thick asphalt rubber hot mix (ARHM) over 2.5" thick conventional ac with a full width 4" thick grind at various locations within the city. The work shall also include but not necessarily limited to following: adjust manhole frames and covers to finished grade; restoration of all existing striping, pavement marking and raised markers; all necessary traffic control and public notifications to all adjacent properties to work areas; posting signs for "No Parking" and arranging for towing of cars, if necessary; and all other miscellaneous appurtenant work.
