Rehabilitation of an existing 2.0 MGD, 6,500 SF water treatment plant (WTP). Building construction consists of cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, brick and CMU. Rehabilitation includes, but is not limited to:; 4 conventional dual media biological gravity filters with each bay being approx. 145 SF including underdrain nozzles, removal and reinstallation of media,; 1 induced draft aerator; general process piping ranging in size from 4" to 16", replacement of valves, fittings, and appurtenances; on-site chemical feed systems which include chemical storage tanks, chemical containment, and chemical feed equipment for Chlorine gas and Fluoride; general mechanical work including HVAC work, ductwork, drain, waste, and vent piping; and other mechanical equipment and appurtenances. Electrical systems generally consist of provide electrical circuits and controls within the WTP including power, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation and controls, and associated conduit and wiring. A standby generator sized to meet emergency and load management electrical requirements will be included in the rehabilitation work. Sitework generally includes grading, seeding, and piping appurtenances; installing stormwater basins; and repair to the existing staging area.

Water Treatment Plant Electric Substation and Distribution System. Work includes replacing and upgrading the outdoor substation with a new concrete foundation and canopy, installing a new transformer, and replacing the existing standby generator with two (2) new standby generators, each with new enclosures and concrete foundations. Additional improvements include upgrades to the incoming electric service, distribution equipment, raw water pump motors, and variable speed drives. The project also includes installation of a new emergency switchboard, automatic transfer switch, panel board, a new fuel filtration system, and rehabilitation of the existing above-ground fuel storage tanks. In addition, the project includes constructing a building expansion to provide a new electrical room connected to the existing Raw Water Pump Station to house the new equipment. This will involve the installation of helical piles, a concrete foundation, and all associated work and equipment to complete the construction of a new electrical building expansion in accordance with the Contract Documents.
