The California Department of General Services (DGS), on behalf of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), seeks farming and land-management lease proposals for approximately 353.4 acres at Wasco State Prison (WSP). The existing use includes approximately 273 acres for growing, rotating, maintaining, and harvesting sellable fodder crops, and bidders must submit a Sustainable Land Management Plan covering WSP open space, maintenance, weed abatement, and mosquito abatement. Irrigation water is sourced from WSP recycled effluent disposal, and the State does not guarantee its availability, quality, or quantity.
